EMUS is a database with more than 11000 emigrants mostly from the Swedish side of the Torne river. Our hope is to collect also emigrants from the Finnish side, so the databse will increase up to 20 000 emigrants. People are working ideally with this and the purpose is to create profiles of them. The Museum welcome contributions to the history of the emigration from Torne river valley. Only datafiles are accepted. Click on the button Emigrants above to list all the reports seeing their names and profiles. If the field Eprofile is filled in, there is made a profile and you can click on the field for reading it. You may have Ancestry to see all the information because there can be links to 'Public trees' and other documents in Ancestry.
